Who We Are

A Straight Answer About Your Slab

We pour and repair concrete for homes all over Los Angeles, from cracked driveway slabs to patios that need to be poured level for the first time. Most people who call us have a slab that's already failed once, sunk on one side or split down the middle. Some are building new and just want it done by someone who's poured in this soil before. Either way you're trying to figure out if the last guy's mistake is fixable or if it needs to come out.

We test the grade before we pour, because LA clay swells in winter and shrinks in a dry summer, and that movement is what cracks a slab that was never reinforced. We set control joints where the concrete is going to want to crack anyway, cut within the first day so the crack follows the joint instead of running across your new patio. We use rebar on driveways that will see real weight, not just mesh laid on top of the dirt. That's the difference between a slab that lasts and one you're calling someone about again in five years.

Driveway out in Los Angeles had a crack running corner to corner, they broke it out and repoured with rebar this time. Truck blocked the street for a morning but they gave us a heads up the day before, wasn't a big deal.

Concrete Driveways · Long Beach, CA
Backyard patio in Glendale used to pool water right by the slider. New slope actually drains it toward the yard now, dries out fast after rain.
Priya S.
Concrete Patios · Anaheim, CA
Sunk corner of the walkway out front finally got leveled, they mudjacked it instead of tearing it all out. Cheaper than I figured and it held through the winter.

Common Questions

Questions we get a lot

Questions people usually ask before booking a concrete job.

How much does a concrete driveway cost in Los Angeles?
A concrete driveway in the Los Angeles area typically runs based on square footage, slab thickness, and site access, with plain broom-finish concrete costing less than stamped or colored finishes. Removing an old driveway, grading a slope, or adding extra rebar for heavier vehicles adds to the total. Most residential driveways end up needing 4 to 6 inches of thickness depending on what's driving on them.
Are you licensed and insured to pour concrete in California?
A licensed concrete contractor in California should carry a C-8 concrete contractor license through the Contractors State License Board, along with general liability insurance. Ask any concrete contractor to show proof of both before signing a contract, and confirm the license is active on the CSLB website.
How soon can you start a concrete project?
Scheduling for a concrete pour depends on the season, the size of the job, and how much prep work like demolition or grading has to happen first. Small repairs can often start within a week or two, while a full driveway or patio replacement with permits may take several weeks to schedule and complete.
What areas around Los Angeles do you cover?
Concrete driveway, patio, and repair work is available throughout Los Angeles and surrounding communities within roughly a 50-mile radius. Travel distance can affect scheduling for smaller jobs further from the city center.
Do you work on both residential and commercial properties?
Concrete contractors generally handle both residential driveways and patios as well as smaller commercial work like walkways, parking bumpers, and pads. Larger commercial paving or structural work usually calls for a contractor who specializes in that scale specifically.
Will you take on a small job like a single cracked slab?
Small concrete repairs, a single cracked slab, a sunk step, or a short section of walkway, are common jobs for most concrete contractors and don't require a full driveway or patio project to book a visit. Minimum job sizes vary by contractor, so it's worth asking directly.
How do I get started with a concrete quote?
Getting a concrete quote usually starts with a phone call or a photo of the area needing work, followed by an in-person visit to measure the space and check the soil and drainage. A written quote should follow that visit, specifying the slab thickness, reinforcement type, and finish before any work is scheduled.
What affects the price of a concrete project the most?
Square footage and slab thickness drive most of a concrete project's cost, followed by site access, whether an old slab needs to be broken out and hauled away, and the type of finish chosen. Stamped or colored concrete costs more than a standard broom finish, and rebar reinforcement adds cost over wire mesh.
Do you require a deposit before starting work?
Most concrete contractors require a deposit to cover materials and schedule the ready-mix delivery, with the balance due on completion. California law caps down payments on home improvement contracts at 10% of the total or $1,000, whichever is less, unless the contractor is licensed under a different arrangement.
What happens if it rains on the day of a scheduled pour?
Rain before or during a concrete pour is usually enough reason to reschedule, since water changes the water-to-cement ratio and weakens the finished slab. Concrete contractors generally monitor the forecast in the days leading up to a pour and will move the date rather than pour into wet conditions.
